Santiago de Chile is the best stage for hockey in South America. The
most famous Chilean figure to play hockey was the great Júlio
“Buda” Pisani. He, along with his brother, Raul, played in the
National Hockey League in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He holds
the all-time points and goals records for the Santiago team and is
considered the best Chilean hockey player of all time.

The most famous Chile team to play hockey was the Sherbrooke
Canadiens, the first team in South America and possibly the first
hockey team in the world.
