At the beginning of the episode, Robbie is working on a computer when his father
comes into his room. Philip is interested in the story his son is working on. This
article is on feelings about graduation. Robbie says that he is a bit scared but also
excited. Philip remarks that if Robbie enjoys working for the school newspaper so
much, maybe he should become a writer.
The next morning, while Robbie is having breakfast, Grandpa and Phillip come in.
They inform him that Philip's old friend, Charlie Rafer, is to come to New York to
interview applicants for the University of Michigan. Therefore, they suggest Robbie
to have an interview with him. He's not sure if he wants to go to this university.
Grandpa convinces Robbie that it is not necessary to choose Michigan, but going to
the meeting will be a great opportunity.
The next morning, Robbie and his father go to the university club for a meeting.
Charlie and Philip are delighted to meet, they recollect studying together, then Dean
carries out an interview with Robbie. The interview is going well, Robbie tells Dean
about himself and shows the transcripts from school. The only thing that confuses
Charlie is that Robbie has a lot of reservations.
Later that afternoon, Robbie's friend, Mike, comes to the Stewarts and discusses with
Robbie the interviews they had attended. Mike has met with the Columbia
Commission and is almost positive that they will accept him, but he also applied to
New York University. Robbie tells his friend that he thinks of becoming a writer.
In the evening, Robbie is thinking in the living room. His dad comes in and they
discuss Robbie's upcoming admission again. He tells his dad that he has become
interested in Columbia University because it has a great journalism school. And
Phillip tells Robbie that the interview with Rafer went well. In the end, Robbie
realizes that he is not yet sure of his choice, but he still has time to make his own
decision.
