Function: relation between 2 steps where we can find one output for a sole input.

if found multiple then

not function

Domain and Range: If x and y are a related by the equation y = f(x), then the set of all allowable in puls
(x-values) are called the domain of f and the set of all outputs (y-values) that results when x varies over
the domain are called the range of f.

Limit: The limit of a function at a point aa in its domain (if it exists) is the value that the function
approaches as its argument approaches a.

Intermediate Value Theorem (IVT): y = f(x) is continuous on [a,b] and w is between f(a) and F(b) Then
there exists a c € (a,b) such that f(c)=w

Mean Value Theorem (MVT)If y = f(x) is continuous on [a, b] and differentiable on (a,b) then there exists
a c € (a,b) such that f'(c)=

Derivative: Def" The derivative of the function y=f(x)at x = a is defined by f '(a)= lim [f(a+h)-f(a)]/h

Beta Function is an eccentric function and it is also identified as a particular kind of Euler”s
integral.

An indefinite integral is the reverse of a given derivative, the antiderivative.

The reason why the arbitrary constant of integration is maintained in the evaluation of indefinite
integrals is that the derivative of any constant is zero and remember that anti-differentiation is an
accepted inverse of derivatives.
