Cat5 cables:

 They could be straight (568 A-568A) or crossover (568A-568B)

 There are 8 pins in the cat5 cables.
 The types of networks used to transport information with cat5 cables are: 10BASE-T and
100BASE-TX
 For sending information this cables use 2 pairs of pins in wich – goes with – and + with +:
 Transport pair: Pins (1,2)
 Receive pair: Pins (3-6
 If i´m sending information you have to use the media dependant interface (MDI)
 If receiving information we use the media dependant interface crossover (MDIX)
 Transport pins are connected to receiving pins always.
 1000 BASE-T is for more speed when information is passing
 It need more pairs of pins for transport and receiving in which A-pins are connected with
B-pins and C-pins with D-pins
 And what happens when crossing cables is that the pins of receiving is changed but stills
connect to the transport pins, making possible to for example TWO COMPUTERS CAN
SEND DATA. Because they both use MDI
 Now AUTO MDI-X makes possible that a port could identify if it´s needed a MDI or MDI-X
and connect the pins for the required one.
 There are two ways of connecting the wires of the cat5 cable 568 A or 568B
 To built a cat5 cable you need:
 2 Rj45 connector (8 metal pins)
 8 cables:
o Blue
o White-Blue
o Orange
o White- Orange
o Brown
o White-Brown
o Green
o White-Green
 Then you have to organize the cables and put in the cables in his correspondent pin and
sod the Rj45
