1. What comes up to your mind when you hear the word folk dance?

Answer:

When I heard the word folk dance ,it is the kind of dance that expresses the culture and
tradition of our country. It is also the form of dance performed by the people that
reflects in their everyday life or connection in their everyday activities. Also, it is a dance
that tells a story, like sakuting.

2. Now that the country has become more industrialized than before, do you think that
Filipinos still consider folk dances as important?

Answer:

Yes, I still think that Filipinos consider folk dances as important , because folk dance is
important in our society and it shows the history of our country through movement.
Although, they are different dance existed especially modern dance, but folk dance is
different that expresses people traditional life. Through this, we can give importance the
culture and tradition on our country. I still believed, we filipinos are looking back the
traditional dance of our country and we are proud of it .

3. Do kids nowadays recognize folk dances in our country?

Answer:

Nowdays, kids are not mostly recognize folk fances in our country ,because they highly
influence on modern dances brought by the modern technology. But, if they get learning
from the school about folk dances,I knew they recognized the folk dances in our country
and they realized its important in the society.

4.Would you promote folk dancing to society? Why or why not?

Answer:

Yes, I would promote the folk dancing to society, because nowaday young generations
focuses on the modern dances and they almost forgot the folk dance. I want to promote
the folk dance, so that they realized and looking back to the culture and tradition of our
country. As a result, its will remain in their heart and mind and pass it to the future
generations.
