Circumcision
Baptism
No male Jewish believer in the Old
Covenant could be saved without
circumcision. We are now principally
saved by grace and faith, and the out-
ward sign of Past Salvation is -
compared to circumcision- a very
gentle process. But we have to take
this step seriously and not dismiss
it as optional or lapidary.
Exodus
God saved the Israelites in the very
moment they crossed the water for
the first time (Red Sea = Baptism =
Present Salvation).
The wilderness wandering can be
compared to our Sanctification after
being born again. Many fall away.
When the Israelites crossed the water
for the second time, they came to the
Promised Land (West of Jordan River
= Promised Land = Future Salvation).
Flood
Noah, his family and selected animals
were rescued through water, while we
are saved through immersion in
water.

Comment
The First Adam and the Second Adam.
Jesus
and Paul tells us that the first
Adam Adam was a type of the
second Adam, although
in fundamentally differ-
ent ways.
Paul clearly describes Jesus
as an Adam, consequently
declaring Him to be the
second Adam.
While Isaac was not sinless
Jesus and not worthy to die as a
and sacrifice for sins of others,
Isaac Jesus Christ was both with-
out sin and worthy to be
the perfect sacrifice for all
humanity that lived before
and after Him.
Both were (be-) loved by their
Jesus Father.

Both had been envied.
Both were shepherds.

Their public recognition

What was meant for evil,
