1. What destination theme you think is fit for Manila’s tourism circuit? Explain your
answer.

- The sustainable urban heritage theme is a destination theme that I believe is ideal for
Manila's tourism circuit. Intramuros, along with Rizal Park, the National Museum, and
Binondo, comprise the "Manila Tourism Circuit," which aims to preserve and improve
the city's heritage. Sustainability is always partnered with tourism. Itis because we must
always prioritize the thinking of how we will maximize our offer sand benefits without
harming or with minimum harm done on our environment, local communities, socio-
cultural and other related topics. Urban heritage is like a line between change and
conserve. As Manila is the capital of the Philippines, here, modern and constantly
changing environment can be seen and is always under threat of destruction due to
the development. On the other side, Manila houses historical and cultural heritages that
we should protect and conserve for its historical values. And one thing is in order to
preserve the artifacts, history and cultural heritage in the Philippines to preserve for the
next generations which can give opportunity to the Government and the people in
Manila.

2. SWOT Analysis
- Manila has been known to have a lot of restaurants and food places where tourist can
have a memorable food trip experience. It’s greatest strength is its people. Manilenos
are very accommodating and tourist-friendly. And the people will be strictly complying
the rules and regulations imposed by the government regarding in covid 19. If you will
go there, you must follow therules and wearing a face mask most of the time

 STRENGTHS

- Manila has many historical and cultural heritage attractions to visit

- There’s a lot of hotels that can accommodate guests
- Accommodating and tourist friendly Manilenos
- Preserve of cultural and natural attractions that Manila can offer
- It provides knowledge and information for the people and most importantly when it
comes to history of the Philippines
 WEAKNESSES
- Manila traffic
- It will make the tourist experience inefficient that instead of being able to visit a lot of
places, the traffic will consume their time
- Not anyone who wants to go there is allowed because not all people is vaccinated

 OPPORTUNITIES
- The growing economy of manila
- Proper management of the local government unit can be also considered as opportunity
since a safe, peaceful and well-managed place can attract more tourists
- More businesseswill rise and will cater the needs of tourists like accommodation and
food

- Flooding issues in Manila
- Ineffective waste management of Manila causing the floods in time of storm or even just
an occasional rain can affect adversely the experience of the tourists
