Factors That Influence Identity Essay

Identity has received more attention in today's society than in the past. The ability to stand out
from the general crowd and the expanding human population have impacted how identity is seen.
Identity is what makes a person special. People's identities may alter as they age because they
grow more independent and conscious of society. One can interact with people who share a
similar identity by establishing and identifying one's own identity. Identity can develop in social
contexts. An individual's identity is influenced by a variety of variables. The culture a person
was up in is one of the elements that affects identity.

There is no denying that parents can affect their children. Making the right decisions is vital for
parents since those decisions will affect their children. Children's development of an identity is
influenced by factors beyond the family, such as religion and politics. It is likely that a person's
religious identification will be Catholic if they are reared in a Catholic home. The same idea is
applicable to politics. As they get older, people could adopt a different identity than what they
were taught as children (Mahalihali). Another identity is developed when a person decides on a
separate identity from that of his parents or relatives.
