Knitting with Sacha ☼

Dish Cloth

MATERIALS: PATTERN NOTES:

Yarn: pick any colour yarn from the selection This is a simple knitting pattern to help you learn the
basic stitches!
Needles: 5mm We need to double the thickness of our yarn, so find
both ends of the yarn (one is in the centre of the ball
and the other is on the outside)

The only abbreviations we need in this pattern are:

k – Knit

p – Purl

PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS

Cast on 25 stitches using long tail cast on method.

Row 1: Knit across row

Row 2 – 4: repeat row 1

Row 5: Purl across row

Row 6: knit across row

Row 7 – 8: repeat rows 5 & 6

Row 9 – 28: knit across row

Row 29 – 32: repeat rows 5 & 6 x2

Rows 33 – 35: knit across row

Bind off

FINISHING
Weave in ends using a (big) sewing needle.

If the edges are curly, wet your dishcloth and pin it flat using something heavy or pin it onto something soft
like a cushion. (this step isn’t necessary as your dishcloth is more of a practical item than a pretty one!)
