The Indonesian Civil Servant Cooperative as a forum for the people's
economic struggle aims to improve the welfare of individual members and their families
in particular and society in general, with an organization arranged in stages, starting from
primary cooperatives to the parent level and is a unified organization and economic
strength that cannot be separated. each other that play a role in national development. In
order to realize the above and to harmonize with the development of national development
and the mandate carried out by the Employee Cooperatives of the Republic of Indonesia,
it is necessary to regulate and improve everything related to the development of
cooperatives, as well as to adjust especially to Law no. 25 of 1992 concerning
Cooperatives, which is stated in the Articles of Association of the Indonesian Employees
Cooperative (KP-RI) at the University of Jember which is domiciled in Jember Regency,
East Java Province.
KPRI University of Jember was founded on August 2, 1979 under the name of the
Jember University Civil Service Cooperative (KPN-UNEJ) which aims to help with
financial problems and improve the welfare of Lecturers and Administrative Staff at the
University of Jember.
In fact, KPN-UNEJ does not only consist of Civil Servants (PNS), but also non-
PNS, so that since 1993 its name was changed to the Indonesian Civil Servants
Cooperative, University of Jember (KP-RI – UNEJ).
The address of KP-RI UNEJ is on Jl. Kalimantan No.27, Krajan Timur,
Sumbersari, Kec. Sumbersari, Jember Regency, East Java 68121
At this RAT for the 2020 financial year, along with the inauguration of the newest
Management and Supervisors (period 2021-2023) and also coincides with the Inauguration
of the New Building for the UNEJ KPRI Cooperative which was inaugurated by the elected
Jember Regent, Mr. H. Hendy Siswanto and the Chancellor of the University of Jember,
Dr. Ir. Iwan Taruna, M.Eng.
