Q1. What were the reasons for spreading of rumours about lay off
of the 4th floor employees?
Answer : The management was not able to maintain secrecy .There
was no unity among the organisation ,therefore Ms. Michael could
have told the 4th floor employees.
Q2. Where the management go wrong?
Answer : a) There should have been transparency in the organisation
. The employees have the right to know about what is going in the
organisation.
b) The management failed to take any prompt decision .
c) There was no unity and co-ordination which led to
miscommunication.
Q3 . What would have been a better way of handling the situation ?
Answer : a) There should have been an official meeting held and the
message of removing employees should have been conveyed
through that.
b) The employees should have been assigned different job according
to their qualification and capability, so that the financial condition of
the employees would not be affected.
c) There was no concrete plan of the hospital. The cost of the
hospital should have been managed in a better way so that such
situations can be avoided.
