1. Answer the following questions:
a. What is e – commerce?
 Activity of buying or selling of goods and other online services is known as e –
commerce.
b. Write any three advantages and disadvantages of e-commerce.
 They are mentioned below:-
Advantages
i. Faster buying or selling of goods and services.
ii. It is easy to find product of different companies.
iii. Business can be run day and night or 24 hours.
Disadvantages
i. Some companies may fraud to the customers.
ii. Guarantee of goods is not 100 %.
iii. Technical failure may affect the business system.

c. Write any five important models of e-commerce.
Explain the consumer-to business model in brief.
 Any five important models of e – commerce are :-
i. Business – to – Business (B2B)
ii. Business – to – Consumer (B2C)
iii. Consumer – to – Business (C2B)
iv. Consumer – to – Consumer (C2C)
v. Business – to – Government (B2G)
In Consumer – to – Business model, a consumer views the different
websites for the required services and places the demand and budget to
different companies. The company which fulfills the consumers, demand
with the budget, approaches the consumer and provides the services as
shown in the figure below:-

d. What is m-commerce? Write some uses of it.

 M – Commerce refers to buying and selling of
goods and services through wireless handheld
devices such as mobiles and Personal Digital
Assistant (PDA).
Some uses of m – commerce are mentioned below:-
i. Mobile banking.
ii. Mobile ticketing
iii. Booking hotels, restaurants online
iv. Online transactions.
v. E-payments
e. What is e-governance? Describe its different models.
 E – Governance refers to the application of ICT for delivering government
services, exchange information, communication etc.
The different models of e – governance are:-
i. Government – to – Citizen (G2C)  it refers to government services
accessed by the citizens. For example – license renewals, paying tax,
electricity bills etc.

ii.Government – to – Business (G2B)  it is the
exchange of services between the
government and business organizations. It
provides timely business information to have
easy and convenient online access to government agencies to improve
the quality of communication and transparency of business.
iii. Government – to – Government (G2G)  it refers to the interaction
between different departments of government to improve the efficiency
of government processes.
iv. Government – to – Employee (G2E)  it refers to the interconnection
between government and employees. It provides online facilities for the
payment of salaries, applying for leaves, online trainings, etc.
f. What is B2B model of e-commerce? Explain in short with a diagram.
 A company can sell its product to the intermediate buyer through the
websites and then he sells the same product to the final customer. For
example wholesaler can purchase a product from a company using the
website and sells the same product to the customers from his outlet shops.

g. What is cloud computing? Write some uses of it.
 Cloud computing is defined as the use of hosted services, such as data
storage, servers, databases, networking, and software over the internet.
Some uses of cloud computing are mentioned below:-
i. Store back – up and recover data.
ii. Host websites.
iii. Download / Upload audio and video.
iv. Make communication and send e – mails.
v. Provide software on demand.
h. Explain C2C model of e-commerce with its diagram.
 In this model of e-commerce, a consumer can sell its goods such as
motorcycle, mobile phone, house in rent, publishing in a website, etc.
Another consumer may buy the product or take the house in rent seeing the
advertisement in the website.

i. Write any two advantages and disadvantages of m-commerce.
 They are mentioned below:-
Advantages
i. It helps to increase the business boundaries as mobile users are
increasing day by day.
ii. It saves customers as well as companies, time and money in business.
Disadvantages
i. It depends on technology to conduct the business.
ii. It needs high speed connectivity to conduct the business.
2. Write short notes on:
a. Internet of things  Internet of Things (IOT) is simply the network of
interconnected things/ devices/physical devices such as vehicles, houses,
hospitals, industries etc. which are embedded with sensors, software, network

connectivity and necessary electronics that enables
them to collect and exchange data. Important
components of IOT are:-
i. Hardware
ii. Software
iii. Communication system
b. E – Governance  Electronic governance or e-governance is the application of
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for delivering government
services, exchange of information, communication transactions, combination of
various systems and services between government-to-customer (G2C),
government-to-business (G2B), government-to-government (G2G) as well as
processes and interactions of different sectors of government and private
organizations.
c. Virtual Reality  Virtual reality is the creation of a virtual environment
presented to our senses in such a way that we experience it as if we were really
there. Virtual reality can be used to provide learners with a virtual environment
where they can develop their skills without the real-world consequences of
failing. It has been used and studied in primary education, military, pilot and

driver trainings. It is most commonly used in
entertainment applications such as video games
and 3D movies.
