Sub: Police – Isukapalli CSPS – SPSR Nellore District -

Request to take necessary action regarding non local
fishermen boats (Kadaluru and Chennai) causing
damage to the local fishermen nets – Reg.

It is to submit that, while conducting awareness camps and

village visits in the fishermen village of Isukapalli CSPS jurisdiction, the
villagers are complaining and representing that some of the non-local
fishermen mechanized boats are moving very near to the villages and
thereby causing damages to the local fishermen nets. There are 50
villages covering in four mandals 1) Kavali 2) Bogolu 3) Alluru 4)
vidavaluru in the limits of Isukapalli CSPS, SPSR Nellore District.

It is further submitted that 39 villages are having landing

points and our staff are being deployed regularly at these points and
conducting awareness camps, village visits and beats in the fishermen
villages. During the above mentioned duties it is known that the local
fishermen are using motorized boats with the capacity of maximum 10 to
20 HP for fishing whereas the non-local fishermen using mechanized
speed boats with 300 to 500 HP. When the non-local boats are moving
nearby these villages, due to the speed impact of these boats the local
fishermen nets are damaging and causing more impact on their livelihood.
Actually the non-local fishermen boats are not to cross in coastal area
within 12 nautical miles / nearby these villages. There is no suitable
mechanism to resist the non-local boats particularly of Tamilnadu state
fishermen boats here. Earlier a combined meeting was held with A.P. and
Tamilnadu officials along with fishermen to solve these practical
problems, at present similar problems are facing by the local fishermen.
 Since the FIBs (Fast Intercept Boats) of Marine CSPS are in
non operation, I request the kind officer to please take necessary action
against illegal fishing boats which are coming from Tamil Nadu and
Kadaluru.
