Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence- includes the ability to use all of one's body or certain the body
to find solutions. It is the capacity to use mental processes to control physical motion. motions.
Howard Gardner sees a connection between mental and physical activity.
Spatial intelligence- requires having the capacity to perceive and make use of patterns in large
spaces.
Intrapersonal intelligence includes having the ability to understand and value one's emotions
motivations and worries. According to Howard Gardner, it entails possessing a strong to be able
to use this knowledge to control our lives and to create a workable model of ourselves.
Naturalist intelligence -For humans to be able to recognize, classify, and draw upon specific
features of the environment, this was added as a component of Gardner's multiple intelligence.
Existential Intelligence – Engage your own sensitivity and capacity to confront deep questions
about human existence, such as the meaning of life, why we die, and how we got there, all of
which are related to spirituality.
The IQ test was once thought to be the "gold standard" for assessing intelligence, but it
does not account for all of the ways a child can excel. For example, just because a child
struggles with math does not mean they will struggle with art or socialization as well.
This is why it has been critical for educational academics to develop better methods of
assessing a person's potential beyond the reading and logical abilities that IQ testing has
long evaluated. Giving clear instructions are very essential. Instructions serve as a
backbone for teaching, and, when applied correctly, it can help students gain a deeper
understanding after all material and encourage critical thinking, beyond basic retention
and surface understanding. Instruction doesn’t come as a one-size-fits- all design.
Classrooms are filled with diverse learners. By employing a sort of differentiated
instructional strategies and activities, we meet the individual needs of a student.
Students don’t learn an equivalent thing within the same way on an equivalent day. As
educators in classrooms, we want to consider each child within the learning community,
supported his or her needs, readiness, preferences, and interests. Through
differentiation of instruction based on their learning style, we give of these students the
chance to find out to their full potential.
Now that I am aware of Gardener's theory of many intelligences, I can better organize
my studies, learn in a variety of methods, and engage in exploration. I can recognize my
strengths and the actions in the actual world that will encourage further learning. I am
beginning to recognize that they each have a distinctive set of strengths and skills, which
is helpful. Each of us possesses a variety of talents, advantages, and disadvantages.
The Gardener's multiple intelligence theory has motivated me to look for more effective
approaches to raise my performance in teaching as I am a future educator and learning
as a student now in the classroom.
