TOPIC 1 : Netflix used to be secretive about viewership.

Now it has
a new top 10 website.
Netflix leads the streaming world with 213 million subscribers. Now
the company is making it easier to see what they are watching.
The platform is launching «Top 10 on Netflix,» a new stand-alone
website that will showcase weekly global numbers for its most
popular and bingeable content. The streaming service already has a
Top 10 list, but the new site provides significant extra data.
The new site will track both original Netflix content, including hits
like «Squid Game» and «Bridgerton,» as well as licensed content
such as «Seinfeld».
The move is notable because until recently Netflix mostly kept its
viewership numbers under wraps.
As the king of streaming, Netflix 's moves can have an outsized
impact on the market at large. Pablo Perez De Rosso, Netflix's vice
president of content strategy, wrote that the announcement is «an
important step forward for Netflix, the creators we work with and
our members.» But he acknowledged that figuring out how to
measure success in streaming is hard

TOPIC 2: KFC adds new ordering option amid increase in drive-thru
wait times

KFC announced that it is implementing a Quick Pick-Up option for

drivers hoping to skip the drive-thru line. According to a press
release, the concept will allow customers to order food ahead of
time and then have it delivered to their car when they arrive at the
restaurant.
Quick Pick-Up is changing the game by making fast food even more
convenient and easy for busy customers
While this may not seem like a significant increase, it can have a
cumulative effect on drive-thrus during business periods.
The average customer waited six minutes and 22 seconds this year,
which is up from five minutes and 57 seconds last year.
While drive-thru times have been increasing for several years, the
pandemic and its repercussions have seemingly exacerbated the
situation.the industry is still facing a labor shortage, leaving fewer
workers available to work in the kitchen and prepare order..

TOPIC 3: South Korea reports record new COVID-19 cases as serious
infections cause worry
South Korea reported a record 3,292 new COVID-19 cases, the Korea
Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) said ,as the country
moves into the first phase of its "living with COVID-19" with loosened
restrictions.
A rise in cases was predicted by officials and experts after many
social distancing restrictions were lifted earlier this month after the
country surpassed its goal of vaccinating 70 per cent of its 52 million
people. More than 78.5 per cent are now fully vaccinated, including
more than 90 per cent of adults.
To blunt that spike the KDCA has decided to shorten the dosing
interval for booster shots for people aged 60 or older and those who
live or work at nursing homes and other vulnerable facilities to four
months.
The KDCA said it will consider issuing a circuit breaker on the relaxed
distancing curbs if more than 75 per cent of ICU beds are used
nationwide and other factors pose high risks.
