£ A OVERVIEW
‘The Heckscher-Ohlin theory considers the pattern of production and trade which will arise when
countries have different endowments of factors and production, such as labor, capital and land.
Basically, a country exports goods that are intensive if the factors with which it is abundantly
supplied. The theoretical and related empirical findings are presented in this chapter.

b.Develop thorough understanding of the theorems of H-O Model.

‘Through the course of this topic, the learners shall be able to demonstrate knowledge on the
basic concepts of the Heckscher-Ohlin model, and apply it in the context of international trade.
