In pursuance of order of this Court, passed in earlier part

of the day, Mr. Bilal Siddique Kamyana-C.C.P.O. Lahore,
Punjab, has entered appearance and agreed to release all the
detenues, who were arrested following the orders of the Deputy
Commissioner, under Sub-Section 1 of Section 3 of the Punjab
Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance, 1960, forthwith.
2. Be that as it may, I feel it appropriate to issue direction to
all the Deputy Commissioners of Punjab to withdraw their orders
passed under Sub-Section 1 of Section 3 of the Punjab
Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance, 1960, consequence
whereof all the D.P.O(s) shall ensure the release of all the
detenues forthwith, who were arrested or detained in these days,
whether involved or not involved in any case/detention order.
3. Learned Law Officer shall ensure compliance of this
order.
4. In view of the above, instant petition as well as connected
matters bearing Writ Petition Nos.32092, 32093, 32158 and
32236 stand disposed of.
