COURSE DATE:
June 26-28,2018

COURSE LOCATION:
Dubai, UAE

INTRODUCTION
Power cables represent a major capital asset for electricity suppliers.
While in service power cables must be maintained and monitored in
order to anticipate faults and possibility avert any failure.
This training course gives a comprehensive three-day overview of power
distribution cables from all aspects of power cable splicing, testing,
termination and fault location to the latest in cable technology.

Faults in underground cables can occur at any time, and the causes are
many and varied. When faults do occur they generally cause loss of
supply to customers and loss of revenue for suppliers. Finding power
cable faults quickly and accurately is essential in reducing supply
disruption, customer minutes lost, restoring the network and reducing
the costs of fault correction. This course will equip trainee with all the
skills needed to diagnose, test and find faults in power cables.

This course is designed to ensure that those responsible for operation

and maintenance of power cables understand the technical issues
involved and comply with relevant specifications and requirements.
