Fall Semester 2022 (02-11-2022) Software Project Management (CS-435)
1. A new vehicle showroom needs an information management system to manage its
inventory, sales and other operations. Prepare a proposal for bidding a contract to
develop the system by including the scope, resources required, cost and schedule
estimate and justification why the contract should be awarded to you (a) supposing
your organization has adequate experience in developing such projects (b)
supposing you are new in this application domain. Also mention the pricing
strategy to be used in both cases.
Note:
a) Make suitable assumptions about the size and scale of showroom.
b) Total cost should be equal to effort cost plus overhead cost. Effort cost =
persons * months. Overhead cost = 20% of effort cost.
c) Proposal should be maximum of two pages.

2. Recompute the expected values noted for the decision tree in lec 03-04 assuming
that every branch has a 50–50 probability. Would this change your final decision?
