I have spent considerable time over the past 2 days studying the club code of conduct I am to
follow as a new coach within the program. Many of these rules I am familiar with as they have
applied to clubs I have worked with in the past, however, I am struggling to understand the rule
in which I do not have permission to speak with parents within a 24 hour period before and after
matches. I am led to assume that this rule is in place to prevent me from making a mistake due
to the emotions of a match, and it having an adverse effect on the relations of a parent and the
club, or myself and the club. However, if at all possible I would like to ask for more clarification
on the specifics of that rule. Thank you for your time and I look forward to moving forward with
this club.
