1. Purpose

The purpose of this incentive program is to establish incentive guidelines in order to


recognize individual and collective performance and contribution to HSE, and to
continually promotes HSE awareness, to encourage individual’s involvement to the
HSE develop the safe-work behavior and culture.

2. Scope

This procedure covers promotions and campaigns to promote and publicize safe
behavior and practices of employees within ITS Contracting organization including its
subcontractor employees all over the organization.

3. Award Program

3.1 Individual Award (Safe Worker of the Month)

 Safe Man of the Month per discipline (one per 50 employees per deferent craft
discipline. (if the one discipline has a less than 50 workers we will adjust with
the other discipline.

3.2 Safe Supervisor of the Month

 A candidate must be a project employee or any subcontractor employees with


trades from Supervisor to lead-man, and safety Officer to Safety Supervisor
one person will be selected per month. A project must have a minimum
number of 50 employees to qualify for the award. 1:50 ratio.

3.3 Selection Committee

 The selection committee will be composed of Site Manager, Construction


Manager, HSE Manager, HSE Supervisor and Construction Staff. ITS
Contracting Staff and Management, including client representative can submit
names for nomination to the members of the selection committee.

3.4 Selection Plan

 The selection process will be done every last day of the month covering the
whole month period.

3.5 Award

 The winner shall receive a gift item worth SR 200.00 and HSE certificate to be
awarded by the Project Site Manager and HSE Manager as well as with client
representative during the scheduled weekly HSE toolbox meeting. Notice of
winners shall be displayed in all ITS Contracting HSE notice boards. Copy of
Certification will be put in personnel profile for future reference.

3.6 Selection Criteria

 The nominee must not have contributed directly or indirectly to an accident or


involve himself in an accident during the month.
 His group had no reported violation on HSE rules, policies or procedures
including PPE violation
 He should have demonstrated his pro-active approach to HSE i.e. obedient to
HSE instructions, encouraging sub ordinates to follow HSE
regulations/practices
 He is a regular attendee of HSE meetings/tool box meetings
 He had contributed a valuable HSE suggestion or work improvement.

4. Safe Man of the Month

4.1 Nomination

 A candidate must be a project employee or any subcontractor workers,


laborer, helpers skilled trades, technician’s and labors. Per month one person
will be selected per 50 employees. A project must have a minimum number of
50 employees to qualify for the award. Nomination shall be made by the safety
officer and safety supervisor to the Selection Committee. There shall only be
one nominee for every discipline /section.

4.2 Selection Committee

 The selection committee will be composed of Site Manager, Construction


Manager, HSE Manager, HSE Supervisor and Construction Staff. ITS
Contracting Staff and Management, including client representative can submit
names for nomination to the members of the selection committee.

4.3 Selection Plan

 The selection process will be done every last day of the Month covering the
whole Month period.

4.4 Award

be awarded by the Site Manager and HSE Manager during the schedule HSE
tool box meeting.

4.5 Selection Criteria

 The nominee must not have contributed directly or indirectly to an accident

 He had no reported violation on HSE rules, policies or procedures including

 He should have demonstrated his pro-active approach to HSE i.e. obedient
to HSE instructions, encouraging co-workers to follow HSE regulations /
practices
 He is a regular attending the HSE meetings conducting the tool box meetings
 He had contributed a valuable HSE suggestion or work improvement.

5. Safe Man of the Year

 A candidate must be an ITS Contracting Employee of the Project or a


subcontractor under ITS Contracting Project. Only employees who have
continuously worked for the project for a period of at least one (1) year period
shall qualify. Three (3) winners will be selected per year for this category each
year. A project must have a minimum number of 50 employees to qualify for
the award.

 Nomination shall be made by the ITS Contracting HSE staff to the Selection
Committee. There shall only be one nominee for every section or group. A
certain project may be disqualified for the award if it incurred a ‘recordable
injury’ or a written incident report during the period.

 An employee selected as safest man of the year can still be qualifying for
nomination for the preceding period based on his performance and
recommendation of the selection committee.

 An employee who is a consistent winner for the safest man of the month or
safest man of the quarter awards for the 12-month period can be
recommended to the safest man of the year award.

6. Project HSE Achievement – Safety Milestones

 All project employees for project operations will be eligible for the award when
the targeted man-hours are achieved without any lost time accident.

1) Attaining 1,000,000 man-hours


2) Attaining 5,000,000 man-hours
3) Attaining 10, 00, 000 man-hours
4) Attaining 20,000,000 man-hours

 HSE banquet/snack party will be organized for all employees associated


with the project and surprise gift items will be given as prizes on
entertainment programs. A certificate of achievement will be issued to the
Project Manager or Site Manager while a letter of appreciation will be issued
to all employees who have directly or indirectly contributed for the
achievement.
 A million man-hour certificate will be issued to selected workers as part of
the incentive award during the achievement of the safety milestone.
