QUESTIONS:

1. Develop a Research proposal and framework to understand customer perception

towards electrical car-VERVE by using research proposal format guidelines
along with Research timelines and Research Budget required for the research.
2. Design a Questionnaire on customer expectations from Electrical car brands-
VERVE
(Nominal, Ordinal, Interval, Ratio and Five Point-Likert scale)
3. What sampling design/method would you suggest for the survey on customer
buying behavior towards VERVE car by Sridhar? Justify your answer.
ANSWERS:
1. Research proposal and framework for understanding the customers perception towards
electric car (VERVE):

 EXECUTIVE SUMMERY – Sridhar from Bengaluru created an electrical

vehicle that is totally automatic, has no clutch or gears, has two doors, can
comfortably seat two adults and two children, and has a tight turning radius of
only 3.5 meters. It operates on batteries, as one would think, and needs a 15
AMP outlet at home or at the office to completely charge. It charges completely
in less than seven hours and has an 8 kilometers range. It has a range of 65 km
in quick charge mode (2.5 h). A full charge requires nine electrical units.
 INTRODUCTION - A study proposal was created with the goal of identifying
potential problems so that they might be resolved in order to make the product
more successful. VERVE is an electric automobile with all new features
available, but for some reason the take-off was not as successful as anticipated.
Therefore, this project's goal is to recognize these issues and offer solutions.
 PROBLEM STATEMENT – To comprehend how VERVE electric car users
view the vehicle.
 RESEARCH OBJECTIVE - How the car should be introduced, what
commercial tactics the manufacturer should employ, and what potential issues
need to be resolved so that the consumer prefers the product.
 SIGNIFICANCE/IMPORTANCE/BENEFIT - Understanding client
impression is the purpose of this specific study. Because client feedback will
offer crucial information for enhancing a certain product. The advantage of this
specific study is that it will assist the company in providing customers with
better items that better meet their demands and requirements.
 RESEARCH DESIGN – Since the idea of e-vehicles is still relatively new,
there isn't much information on the market on how buyers feel about them. In
light of the scenario and the data's availability, it is therefore preferable to
select "EXPLORATORY RESEARCH DESIGN." It should be emphasized that
when appropriate data are unavailable, an exploratory study approach is used.
 DATA ANALYSIS – As we have chosen an exploratory study design, the
methods for gathering data are as follows:
Techniques for gathering data -
a. Focused group discussion (FGD)
b. in-depth interview
c. projective approaches
d. Expert and experience surveys
It is preferable to get primary data from the market since all of these ways fall
under the category of "PRIMARY DATA" collecting methods.
 RESULTS (DELIVERABLES) - Three months of extensive investigation
produced the following findings.
a. It was discovered that the product's STP (Segment, Target, and Positioning)
had an issue.
b. In comparison to the market category he was targeting, the product's pricing
was slightly higher.
d. A number of crucial characteristics that are crucial for an electric car were
lacking. These are the key characteristics that clients value the most.
 SCHEDULING & BUDGET –
a. Problem identification and analysis – 2 weeks
b. Analysis of problem – 4 weeks
c. Data analysis (primary) – 2/3 months
d. Implementations and improvements – 3/4 months
 BUDGETING –
a. Problem Identification – 100,000 - 25,0000
b. Analysis of problem – 3,00,000 - 4,50,000
c. Data analysis – 10,00,000 – 15,00,000
d. Implementations and improvements – 30,00,000 - 35,00,000

SAMPLING DATA/DESIGN TO BE SELECTED

 STUDY POPULATION – Car owners in Bengaluru and outskirts of

Bengaluru.
 TARGET POPULATION – Owners and those who are interested to buy e-
vehicles.
 SAMPLE – Interested people of e-vehicles in a particular area.

A mixture of "Non-probability Judgmental sampling" was used for the sample design.

The selection of a non-probability judgmental sampling was made for the purpose of
understanding the issues with consumer adoption of e-vehicles, according to the Judgmental
Sampling approach. Learn more about a variety of crucial factors, such as product quality and
post-purchase support. In addition to providing knowledge, consulting an expert on the
adoption of e-vehicles would assist the business give better customer service.
