TASK B)

Discuss the differences in the ideal number of children between Bulgarian and Polish respondents
divided into different age groups.

This bar chart illustrates the ideal number of children between differently aged Bulgarian and Polish
respondents. They have been divided into five age groups, taking into account ages 18 to 64+.
Overall, Polish respondents hope for more children than their Bulgarian counterparts.

The ideal number of children for Polish interviewees rises gradually with age, starting with 2.5 for
young adults (ages 18-24) and reaching a peak of just over 3 for senior Polish citizens (age 64+).

Eldest Bulgarians also wish for the biggest number of babies, however the upward trend doesn’t
occur here. The overall amount oscillates around 2 for all Bulgarian respondents and the age group
who wants the least children is adults aged 35-44 (slightly under 2). This is considerably different
from Polish respondents that age (here the ideal number of children arrives at approximately 2.7). It
is also worth mentioning that this is the only bar marked lower than 2 in the entire chart.
