SUBJECT: SUSPENSION OF WORK AND CLASSES ON OCTOBER 28, 2022

Per latest PAG ASA weather update, the province of Southern Leyte is placed under Signal No. 1
due to Tropical Storm Paeng of which the center was estimated at 430 km East of Borongan
City, Eastern Samar with maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near the center and gustiness of
up to 90 km/h moving westward at 15 km/h.

In view of this and to ensure the safety of all employees and students, work and classes on
October 28, 2022, Friday, will be suspended. Nonetheless, please take note of the following:

1. PQA Dry-Run and the Research and Admin Committee Review scheduled today will
continue since these activities are to be conducted via online. Thus, all the
participants are requested to be virtually present so long as electricity and internet
connectivity will warrant.
2. The Heads of Offices and the CMC members of each campus are hereby requested to
check the properties, laboratory equipment, important documents and others to
secure them from possible damage.
