NATIONAL READING MONTH KICK-OFF PROGRAM (SCRIPT)

I.
Host A: Good morning everyone! Do you believe in the saying “A child who
reads will be an adult who think”?
(Yes)

Host B: That’s Right! We must learn to love reading. To hone the reading skills
and cultivate the importance of reading, our school BNHS joins in the
celebration of the National Reading Month kick-off program of the DEPED.

Host A: And starting today we will have more intensive, more engaging and
more fun reading activities to support the kick-off program.

Host B: Without so much a do, let us begin the program with the singing of the
Philippine National Anthem to be conducted by the Grade 12 HUMMS, followed
by a prayer and also participate as we dance the Galaw Pilipinas.

II.
Host A: Please stay at your location as Ms. Rhysa Mae Calixtro, the President of
English Club delivers her opening remarks.

Host B: Thankyou Ms. Rhysa for the wonderful opening message.

Host A: Now is a time to honor the value of literacy and inspire readers of all
ages to read.

Host B: We’re celebrating all month-long through the activities planned by the
English Club so buckle up as Mrs. Anne Encarnacion, our english coordinator
introduces the NRM objectives and expected activities to us.So let us open our
ears for these important part of the event.

Host A: Thankyou Ma’am Anne for sharing those objectives to follow.

Host B: Now may we call on our reading ambassador of the week, Our school
principal Mr. Florante R. Riego will now give his message.
Some of the roles of a reading ambassador are:
▪ Track the process of the kids in completing the reading challenge.
▪ Share book recommendations and reviews with the students.
▪ Events to support reading across the school.
▪ Assist in creating display that encourage reading in the classroom.

Host A: Thankyou so much Sir for those challenging words of wisdom. It serves
as a challenge to us.

Host B: Lastly, a serious promise regarding a future action or behavior is what


an oath is, to sum it simply. Give Ms. Camille Asuncion, the president of the
Filipino Club, the honor of reading the program’s oath.

Host A: We have just heard the important activities to be conducted for this
reading month celebration so let’s all get ready. Goodluck and read,read,read,
and read for tommorow’s future!
