EasyBuilder Pro Quick Start

This manual walks through the steps to create a simple project from setting HMI IP,
building project file, configuring PLC, to downloading project to HMI.

EasyBuilder Pro Quick Start

1. Setting HMI IP

cMT Series HMI


Step 1. Startup HMI and connect it to LAN. Please check if DHCP server exists on the
network.
Step 2. Tap the round icon in the upper-left corner on HMI.

Step 3. Click the lock icon near [Setting].

Step 4. Enter default password 111111 and then tap the Enter key.

Step 5. Tap [Network] and open [Ethernet1 WAN/LAN]].

Step 6. Toggle on [Obtain an IP address automatically] and then tap [OK] for HMI to
obtain a LAN IP address.

Step 7. If a DHCP server is not available or does not exist on the network, open
search bar on PC, enter cmd to launch command prompt and then enter
ipconfig to see current network configuration.

Step 8. Toggle off [Obtain an IP address automatically] and then enter an IP address
on the same network segment as PC. Click OK for HMI to obtain a LAN IP
address.

Non-cMT Series HMI


Step 1. Startup HMI and connect it to LAN. Please check if DHCP server exists on the
network.
Step 2. Tap the arrow icon in the lower-right corner of the screen.

Step 3. Tap the cog icon on the left.

Step 4. Enter default password 111111 and then tap the OK button.

Step 5. Select [Obtain an IP address automatically] and then tap Apply for HMI to
obtain a LAN IP address.

Step 6. If a DHCP server is not available or does not exist on the network, open
search bar on PC, enter cmd to launch command prompt and then enter

Step 7. Tap [IP address get from below] and then enter an IP address on the same
network segment as PC. Tap Apply for HMI to obtain a LAN IP address.

2. Building EasyBuilder Pro Project

Step 1. Launch EasyBuilder Pro and open a new project.


Step 2. Select a model, select [Use template], and then click [OK].

Step 3. In the device list click [New Device/Server…] to set the device to be
connected.

Step 4. Take connecting a Modbus device as an example, set parameters as shown


below.

Step 5. A new device is added into the device list.

Step 6. Create an object, e.g. a Toggle Switch, and set its Read/Write Address.

Step 7. Place the object in the editing window, and a simple project is built.

3. Compiling, Downloading, and Running the Project


Step 1. Save the project file.
Step 2. Click [Compile] in the Project tab.

Step 3. Click the [Compile] button and then click [Close].

Step 4. Click [Download (PC->HMI)] in Project tab.

Step 5. Select a target HMI and then click [Download].

Step 6. The following message window showing on HMI indicates that


communication between HMI and PLC fails. Please check the
communication parameter settings.

Step 7. A successful communication between HMI and PLC will display project
