Even while social discrimination against certain groups of employees has been spoken about all around

the world, the total eradication of prejudice from the system hasn't yet taken place,

When the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has reasonable grounds to think there
has been employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin, it can sue in
federal courts.

Individuals and businesses benefit from equal job opportunities. EEO members each do a great deal on
their own. In addition, being EEO compliant lowers the risk of being sued for discrimination or wrongful
termination.

All organizations should have a zero-tolerance policy against workplace discrimination. The major
rationale for advocating a zero-tolerance policy is that lawbreakers would develop more confidence in
breaking the law if enforcement measures were not taken.

The people in a democratic society must enforce laws against discrimination. I can't wait for the
authorities to arrive.

Unfortunate events occurred in the year 2020 that rocked the whole planet. When George Floyd, 46,
was gasping for air, a white police officer kneeled on his neck and held him there until he died in
Minneapolis on May 25. His death has sparked protests around the country. There has been a flood of
responses from all across the globe. In the world's most powerful democracy and the world's most
powerful superpower, no one would believe that this kind of discrimination had taken place.

True, important federal equal employment opportunity legislation has sought to remedy social
discrimination but has failed to assure that the laws were successful. People in a democracy have the
right, but they also must see that laws are carried out. All Americans, from President Obama on down,
should promote equality at all levels and adopt a zero-tolerance attitude toward any kind of
discrimination.
