Different Races
1.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to pronounce words and
speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation.
CONTENT STANDARD
1.2 By the end of the 6 year primary schooling, pupils will be able to listen and respond
appropriately in formal and informal situations for a variety of purposes.
1.1.4 Able to talk about related topics with guidance.
LEARNING STANDARD
1.2.4 Able to participate in guided conversations with peers

By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to :


1. Give 3 good examples on communicating and maintaining a good relationship
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
among various races and ethnics.
2. Show respect to the friends from various races and ethnics.
3. Take 3 initiatives to communicate with friends from different races.
Activity 1
1. Pupils watch a video about DeepaRaya.
2. Round Table: Pupils take turn to share their experiences during the visiting to their friends’
houses from different races on festivals.

Activity 2
1. Pupils say out other festivals celebrated in Malaysia (e.g. Chinese New Year, Deepavali,
etc.)

2. Pupils share what they should do when visiting their friends from different races during

Activity 3
1. Pupils are divided into groups. Each group will be given a festival.
2. Pupils discuss the ways they will behave while attending open houses for these festivals.
3. The group leader presents.
4. Pupils answer quizzes from the teacher on how to communicate with their friends during
the visit on festivals.
