Indians are a valuable asset to the country, no matter where they are in the world. As a result, whenever there is a natural disaster anywhere in the world, or instability due to internal or external conflicts, New India has sent a clear message to its citizens that every Indian is important and brings them home safe and secure. When Indian citizens living in Ukraine were in danger as a result of the Russia-Ukraine war, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched "Operation Ganga,” rescuing over 20,000 people. The country realised this fact through the stories of Indians returning from there. indian citizens and citizens of other countries in the world also saw and felt the power of the tricolor. itis a result of India's growing global power that, during the difficult times of the Ukraine crisis, India transported thousands of Indian students from the war zone to their homes safely via “Operation Ganga." By adhering to its traditions, India has also carried the responsibilities of international commitments, As a result of this commitment, people from other countries, in addition to its own, citizens, were saved. In recent years, India has stood by its people in the face of adversity, whether it was the Afghan crisis or bringing back its people who were trapped due to the Covid lockdown, Whether its the evacuation of Indians in times of crisis in South Sudan and Yeren, or in times of natural calamity in Nepal, indonesia, and Mozambique, whether it is a matter of concem for those countries as well as their people, India has always extended support. This is why Indians’ and young people's trust in the leadership of New India has grown. It is now assumed that an Indian is safe wherever he goes in the world because he is a citizen of India. How the new India is prepared to protect its citizens, is the cover story of this issue. In this issue, Paramveer Major Dhan Singh Thapa is featured in the personality section, while other stories include the redesigned Jallianwala Bagh, saluting women’s power, the e-NAM scheme becoming a boon for farmers, the "Fame India" scheme strengthening environmental protection, and a special feature on Utkal Diwas. Simultaneously, approval was given to establish the National Land Monetization Corporation (NLMC) as an SPV to generate revenue by monetizing unused and partially used government assets for private-sector investment and to boost the local economy. @ DECISION: The National Land Monetization Corporation (NLMC) has been approved as a wholly-owned, government of India company with an initial authorised share capital of Rs 5000 ‘crore and a paid-up share capital of Rs 150 crore. NLMC will monetise surplus land and building assets of central public sector enterprises (CPSEs) and other government entities. @ IMPACT: CPSEs currently own a large amount of underutilised or partially.utiised land and assets. It's the "pilgrimage" of India's freedom movement, where Bapu said after making just a handful of salt, "With this one handful of salt, | am beginning to shake the roots of British rule." Jag Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav When the British passed a legislation taxing salt, Bapu led a nationwide salt satyagraha, practicing the path of nonviolence. The Dandi March, or Civil Disobedience Movement, is what we call it. Mahatma Gandhi referred to the British government's salt tax as "the world's most horrible levy,” and he chose to defy the law. The British tax on salt was extremely high and unreasonable at the time. On March 11, 1930, a gathering of over 10,000 people collected at Sabarmati in Ahmedabad for an evening prayer, where Mahatma Gandhi gave a remarkable address on the eve of his historic march. Bapu defied British rule by ‘April 1-15, 2022 breaching the salt law. A horse was also arranged for Mahatma Gandhi for this journey. Gandhi got blisters on his feet throughout this journey, but he did not use a palanquin or a horse to get around. He chose the workers who would accompany him on this journey himself, and he interviewed each one. The oldest of these individuals was Mahatma Gandhi, who was 61 years old at the time. While Vitthal Liladhar Thakkar, who was 16 years old at the time, was the youngest member of that yatra, it is said that by the time Mahatma Gandhi arrived in Dandi, more than 50 thousand people had joined this non-violent salt satyagraha, and he also observed a silent fast every Monday during the journey. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the historic Amrit Mahotsav programme on the 91st anniversary of Bapu's Dandi March by sending 80 persons on the Dandi Yatra on March 12, 2021, with the goal of paying tribute to the great souls who gave their lives for India's freedom.
