Methodology

Research Design
Dumaguete City is the largest city and a component city in the Philippine
province of Negros Oriental. It is nicknamed The City of Gentle People. The study
will be conducted in Dumaguete City where most of the small carinderias are build.

The research topic was all about the role of food safety in small carinderias in
Dumaguete City. The respondent were convinced by making sure that interview can
be trusted, the answers were kept confidential and the result of this study could give
the respondents the know ledge of regarding the social factors influencing the food
perparing of the children. Customers were observe when it comes on what food they
will choosing that’s why we decided to ask only are sensitive of their condition.
Personal interview provided with an approved questionnaire was the method used to
gather data to not to make them provided with approved questionnaire was the

rapport to the owner.

The interview questions were gathered and compared, quantitative data is the type of
method used. We used systematic sampling, to ask onswer of carinderias in answering
the interview questions. The investigation usually involves the onwers and the
customers.The items will range from simple single question like to what carideria’s
conditions or what customers food like and possible social factors affecting their food
preferences if their customers is a picky eater despite of its needs, to what specific
meals do they like to eat mostly and what or who mostly influence them on selecting
to eat in the small carinderias.

Chi-square is used to show the data we have conducted to present clearly the number
of different type of customer everyday in one small carinderias. Chi-square is used in
this study because it is a statistical test used for testing relationships of nominal
variables. Nominal variables are used since it can have two or more categories and it
does not have to be in an intrinsic order.

Customers were categorize in terms of their condition or in terms of food preferences

they prefer and in terms on how they based their food when they are out or at home,
in terms of social factors that influenced their food preferences they prefer, and in
terms on how their health affect them in choosing the kind of food they eat from the
one who influence them with the purpose of knowing whether there is an association
between the children's condition or disorder, their food preferences, how they based
their food, social factors that influenced their food preferences.

To dispose confidential information, the files have is burned after using it but before
doing so, the materials that have been used like USB, CDs, DVDs and questionnaires
to insure safety of the respondent/s were also disposed or destroyed to make sure that
there will be no evidence left.
