Use these terms and definitions below to understand concepts taught in the course.

Term Definition

Iron Triangle A set of three constraints (cost, time, and quality) in a project

milestone A key event or specific point in a project timeline typically used to monitor the project’s
progress toward its goal

project A set of new tasks with a finish date

project review A list of lessons learned gathered at the end of a project, which includes what went well,
what did not go well, and what could have been done differently

risk matrix A visual display of the risks that affect a project and the mitigation plan to lessen these
risks

WBS Work breakdown structure; a tree of tasks that have been mapped out and detailed for
the work in a project
