III. Details on Research Projects

Planned research project:

My project is framed in chemical network analysis in collaboration with Jürgen Jost, Guillermo Restrepo and Marisol
Bermúdez. My contribution is related to the creation of the mathematical model. The model is a generalization to
directed hypergraphs of the Ërdos-Renyi model for simple graphs. The goal is to show how random is the chemical
knowledge during the last 200 years by using Reaxys database.
The plan for my stay is the following:
1) to finish the current analysis for which 100% of the calculations are already done although, the data
analysis is still required (this will be done by Professor Dr. Marisol Bermudez)
2) to write the paper during the stay
3) I also plan to start the calculations for a second paper
4) I will also develop some of the codes to clean and analyze some of the data for a third publication

Planned duration of the residency: from December 9, 2022 to February 28, 2023
Name of the scientist you primarily contact: Guillermo Restrepo

Will you receive additional funds from a third party for your residency? □ Yes ⌧ No If yes, please add
