Lesson 2 -Settings

Main Menu

On the right the Main Menu Window of uNext.

Before to start with any survey you have to go on

settings to set up the software (red arrow).
 Survey Settings

The first settings option is Survey.

➢ On this window you can change the Project Name, default project
name is syncronized with the current laptop date.

➢ You can change the Saving Folder path also. This is important to
collect all the surveys inside a specific folder.

➢ On System Type icon, you can choose the type of system

acquisition you want to use:

- Metric Wheel: simple scan or Grid mode

- Leica Zeno Connect: Leica GPS Survey
- Other GNSS: Other GPS
- Total Station

➢ You must have the green led in corrispondence of Status icon to

start the acquisition
 Hardware Settings

The second settings option is Hardware.

➢ You can choose the Depth Range and so the full scale of your
radargrams. Remember that this change depends on the
subsurface over which you want to acquire. You have to respect
the relationship beetween antenna frequency and penetration
depth to set correctly your depth range

➢ You can choose the Samples step along the time axis.

➢ Perfomance Speed: you can acquire faster but with less

radargrams details or slower but with more details on your
radargrams

➢ You can change the Odometer parameters. The first is the Scan
Step that is the distance beetween two sweeps collected by the
odometer during the acquisition.

➢ Resolution is the capacity of the odometer to detect two target

very close together

➢ You must select the type of OperaDuo you have to use during
the acquisition: Four Wheels / Two Wheels
 Graphic Settings

You can choose the Channel Palette of your radargrams

 International Settings

You can change the International Settings

➢ Change the System of Measurement

➢ The Measurement Unit

➢ The Language
