HON. SANGGUNIAN BAYAN MEMBERS

Labo, Camarines Norte

Dear Hon. SB Members,

I am writing to express my deepest thanks to all our SB Members from 2016 to the
present. Your scholar and also kapwa Laboeño has finally graduated from college.

I want to share this great happiness as I celebrate this achievement. I cannot forget the
names of the people who have been with me in reaching my dreams. I write them in my
diaries every time I kneel to God. And you are there. I always ask him to bless the
people I utter in my breath prayers.

Thank you for not giving doubt in each session you meet my mother. I will take this as
an "Utang na Loob" to the people of Labo. In Filipino Psychology, utang na loob means
"gratitude/solitude." It is not necessarily a burden, as the word "debt" connotes, because
there is always a chance to return a favor in the Filipino pattern of interpersonal
relations. It is not absolutely obligatory in the immediate future, for the opportunity to
show utang na loob might come only in the next generation, maybe not in our lifetime.
Nevertheless, it is a beautiful element of Filipino interpersonal relationships that binds a
person to their home community/country.

To give back, my promise to the people of Labo and the honorable members is that I
will continue to pursue professional development in the field of Psychology, which I
firmly believe will benefit the welfare of our constituents in the future. Para sa malusog
na pag-iisip ng mga mamamayan ng Labo.

Again thank you. May the Lord bless you, your work, and your family.

Best regards,

JOHNLLOYD O. NAGERA
