Dear Mayor Jojo,

I am writing to communicate my utmost gratitude to you personally, the Office of the

Mayor, and the people of Labo. You are the most consistent person and name I know
who have been with me for six years during the times I need help since my studies in
PUP Manila and until graduation.

I can't think of any other way to express my appreciation but this letter of thanks. But
another sure thing is I will instead stay in our hometown and province to use my formal
education and experience, which will benefit our people in the future. I will take this as
an "Utang na Loob" to the people of Labo. In Filipino Psychology, utang na loob means
"gratitude/solitude." It is not necessarily a burden, as "debt" connotes. In the Filipino
pattern of interpersonal relations, there is always a chance to return a favor. It is not
absolutely obligatory in the immediate future, for the opportunity to show utang na loob
might come only in the next generation, maybe not in your lifetime. It is a beautiful
element of Filipino interpersonal relationships that binds a person to their home
community/country.

To give back, I will continuously pursue professional development in my chosen field

and support you in every project and program aimed at the sectors we're primarily
concerned with. Para sa malusog na pag-iisip ng mga mamamayan ng Labo.

I pray to the God we serve that he continuously blesses your leadership and protects
you and your family. God is with you, and he is also with us, your people of Labo.
