CLASSIC MISTAKES

Native Spanish speakers, when they make mistakes in English, always make the same ones, simply
because they apply the rules of their own language to English and this does not always work.

The following are examples of classic mistakes .Find them and check your answers below.

1. He's doctor. 11. Risotto is similar of paella.

2. I went out for to buy the paper. 12. He has a house in the beach.

3. I must to go home now 13. I prefer don't being a pessimist.

4. She lived for three years in Paris. 14. It was a casuality(sic).

5. They'd like that they have a pool. 15. People is very friendly.

6. She's a friend of us. 16. I don't know where is it.

7. I made an exam this morning. 17. We are ten students in our class.

8. I avoided to see him. 18. I am agree.

9. He carried them to the airport. 19. I said him I didn't like it.

10. I go jogging everydays. 20. All is ready.

This is a challenging exercise but provides a very quick way to eliminate errors in your English. Go
