Overview of The Business Standard

The Business Standard (TBS) is a news platform that operates in both online and print versions. It is
owned by The Horizon Media and Publication Ltd based in Dhaka, Bangladesh ("About Business
Standard", 2021). With the goal to promote good governance and best practices in business and
economy, The Business Standard puts an extra emphasis on business news. However, it also covers
general news, sports, features and entertainment. Powered by a group of experienced journalists, The
Business Standard emphasizes visual storytelling to help readers decipher the most complicated issues.
The platform also provides selective international news and analysis from Bloomberg, Project Syndicate,
Foreign Policy, Hindustan Times, Mint, Digit and Reuters ("About Business Standard", 2021). All through
its excursion, The Business Standard has persistently worked for giving fair-minded data and has
addressed each part of Bangladesh and global society. Alongside its regular 16 pages available at a price
of Tk15, the newspaper has special segments published daily focusing on particular aspects of life and
catered towards a specific group of readers. For the internship, the intern worked for the Online Section
