think should win the award? Why? GRAMMAR Relative Clauses Relative Clauses We use relative clauses to give more information about a person or object. Nondefining relative clauses 1. Give additional information. The sentences still make sense without this information. Dr. Choi-Taek is a specialist in robotics, which is increasingly important in his country. 2. Give extra information on the whole sentences. The kids think their teacher sounds rather robotic today, which is hardly surprising. 3. Are separated from the rest of the sentence by a comma.
Note: we don’t use that or omit the relative pronoun in nondefining
