LAUNCHING NEW PRODUCT IN MEGA SHARIA BANK

Ms. Fitri : Good Morning all.

All : Good Morning too, Ms. Fitri.

Ms. Fitri : Today we will start our meeting. For the first time, I would like to introduce the
director and staff at a Mega sharia bank.

She is Ms. Salwa as a marketing director, she is Ms. Diana as a finance director, she
is Ms. Firli as a staff and she is Ms. Affina as a staff too.

If we are all here, let’s get started. First off all, I’d like you to please join me in
welcoming Ms. Adinda, new staff at our bank.

Ms. Adinda : Nice to meet you all. I hope we can join together.

Ms. Fitri : Pleased to meet you, hopefully we can work together well, what’s the topic on
the meeting today?

Ms. Firli : Welcome Ms. Fitri. We are here today to talk about marketing and new product
launches. First, let's go over to the last meeting that was held on January 14th.
Right, Ms. Salwa to you.

Ms. Salwa : Thank you Ms. Firli. Let me summarize the main points from the last meeting. We
held a meeting to plan new products with the aim of improving services so that
people prefer to save in sharia banks rather than conventional banks. This meeting
was declared closed.

Ms. Fitri : OK. Let’s get started.

I want to get some ideas from all of you. What products will make people prefer to
save their money in Islamic banks? I suggest we go around the table first to get all
your input.

Ms. Affina : In my suggest the sharia giro account is the right product because it is a deposit
and can be taken at any time.

Ms. Adinda : I’m agree with your idea because that way it's easy for people to take their
deposit.

Ms. Firli : I suggest Sharia bank products in the form of financing (ijarah).

Ms. Salwa : What is your reason?

Ms. Firli : My reason is because in financing products (ijarah) I can rent goods and that really
helps the community.

Ms. Salwa : Sorry I don't think so. An effective product for saving money in Islamic banks is a
save deposit box because the marketing is easy and there are lots of people
interested in it with cheap rental prices.

Ms. Diana : Good idea. For a cheap rental price and will later be distributed to people in need.
Ms. Fitri : I see. This makes people prefer Sharia banks over conventional banks because
they save money as well as give charity.

Well, how do you market this product?

Ms. Salwa : I will market this product by social media and also attending several social events.

Ms. Fitri : OK. How do you set the rental price for this product, Ms. Diana?

Ms. Diana : I will set a rental price of around IDR 30,000 which will later be allocated to people
in need or the construction of a mosque in this area.

Ms. Fitri : How about the next 3 months we launch this product?

All : Agree it's the right time.

Ms. Diana : Maybe, in about 3 months it can be launched.

Ms. Fitri : OK. Before we close, does anyone have any questions?

All : Nope.

Ms. Firli : Let me just summarize the main points. The product that we will launch in the
next 3 months is a save deposit box and promoted through social media and
community activities at an affordable price then allocated to people in need or the
construction of a mosque in this area.
