ARAHAN KEPADA PELAJAR / INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS

1. Tugasan ini mengandungi soalan yang disediakan dalam Bahasa Inggeris. / This assignment
contains questions that is set in English.

2. Jawab dalam Bahasa Inggeris. / Answer in English.

3. Anda dikehendaki menyerahkan tugasan dalam format MsWord (.docx) melainkan dinyatakan
sebaliknya. Anda tidak dibenarkan untuk menukar teks/frasa tugasan tersebut kepada format
grafik seperti .jpeg / .gif / print screen / dan lain-lain format berkaitan. /Learners are to submit
assignment only in MsWord(.docx) format unless specified otherwise. Please refrain from
converting text/phrases into picture format such as .gif / .jpeg / print screen / etc.

4. Muat turunkan templat tugasan daripada myINSPIRE untuk penyediaan dan penyerahan
tugasan anda. Tugasan anda hendaklah ditaip dengan menggunakan saiz fon 12 Times New
Roman dan langkau baris 1.5. / Download the assignment template from the myINSPIRE for
preparation and submission of your assignment. Your assignment should be typed using 12
point Times New Roman font and 1.5 line spacing.

5. Tugasan anda hendaklah tidak melebihi 3000 patah perkataan tidak termasuk rujukan.
Bilangan perkataan hendaklah ditunjukkan di hujung tugasan anda. Jangan menyalin soalan dan
arahan tugasan dalam jawapan anda. / Your assignment should not exceed 3000 words
excluding references. The number of words should be shown at the end of your assignment. Do
not copy the assignment question and instructions to your answer.

6. Penghantaran tugasan / Submission of assignment:

a. Pelajar Kelas Bersemuka / Face-to-face Class Student:


Anda dikehendaki menghantar tugasan secara ONLINE melalui MyINSPIRE dan 1 salinan
fizikal kepada fasilitator. /You MUST submit a softcopy of your assignment online
through myINSPIRE and a hardcopy to your facilitator.

b. Pelajar atas talian / Online student:


Anda dikehendaki menghantar tugasan secara ONLINE melalui MyINSPIRE dan 1 salinan
melalui e-mel fasilitator. / You MUST submit a softcopy of your assignment via
myINSPIRE and another softcopy to the facilitator via e-mail.

7. Anda hanya boleh menghantar tugasan SEKALI sahaja dalam SATU fail. / You can submit your
assignment ONCE only in a SINGLE file.

8. Tugasan anda hendaklah diserahkan antara 1 hingga 3 Julai 2018. / Your assignment must be
submitted between 1 until 3 July 2018.

9. Tugasan hendaklah disiapkan secara individu. Anda dilarang meniru tugasan orang lain. Anda
juga dilarang sama sekali memplagiat kerja orang lain sebagai kerja sendiri. /

10. Anda perlu memastikan RESIT yang dikeluarkan bagi penghantaran tugasan disimpan sebagai
bukti penghantaran. Kegagalan mengemukakan resit dalam sebarang isu yang timbul berkaitan
penghantaran tugasan akan mengakibatkan tugasan dianggap TIDAK dihantar / Please ensure
that you keep the RECEIPT issued upon submisson of your assignment as proof of submission.
Your assignment is considered as NOT submitted if you fail to produce the submission receipt in
any dispute arises concerning assignment submission.

PENILAIAN / EVALUATION
Tugasan ini menyumbang sehingga 60% daripada jumlah markah kursus berkenaan. / This
assignment accounts for 60% of the total marks for the course.

Anda akan diberikan maklum balas tentang tugasan ini sebelum Peperiksaan Akhir Semester
bermula. / You would be given feedback on the assignment before the Final Semester Examination
commences.

ASSIGNMENT QUESTION:

You are required to provide a report on the tasks as specified. It is acceptable to use
the opinions and judgments of project professionals to support your work.

You have been employed as a Project Manager by your college student society to
organise a dinner show. The event is to raise funds in order to provide financial
assistance for needy learners. The event will take place on 30th September 2018.
You are required to organise all aspects of the event including booking the hall,
dinner, entertainment, advertising and ticketing.

Notes:

• You need to define when the project will start. You may select the start date.
• Be sure that the dinner show ticket price you offer covers the expenses to
organise the event.
• Any costs need to be justified.
• You may determine the venue where the dinner show will be held.
• You must make a minimum of MYR 30,000 profit.

Complete the following tasks:

Task 1 - Prepare a Project Definition (approximately 500 - 1000 words). This is the
“who, why, and what” part of the project. It defines all major aspects of the project
and forms the basis for its planning and management and also the assessment of
overall success.

Task 2 - Produce a work breakdown structure (WBS).
[20 marks]

Task 3 - Develop a responsibility matrix fully linked to your work breakdown


structure.
[10 marks]

Task 4 - Produce a work schedule using Gantt-Chart and/or Critical Path Diagram
(CPM) that uses the activities created in Task 2.
[30 marks]

Task 5 – Summarise the project by stating the estimated project expenses and
profit.
[10 marks]
