Ans 1.

I probably would have done the same thing as Naresh did, if I didn’t get the satisfaction, saw
no scope, or felt happy with what I was doing.

Ans 2. The management could have arranged for an informal meeting where they could have
discussed with him if there was any way they could retain him, pair him with effective mentor,
openly communicate, negotiate, etc.

Ans 3. I feel it is very common for people to react the way Naresh’s did, when you tell them you have
left a permanent job and taken up a temporary one. Naresh’s parent feeling concerned is what every
parent feel whether you have a proper job. His friends could have spoke to him about it and hear
him out, maybe given him advise instead of being angry. His colleagues and boss would be surprised.
Overall I feel if you can’t motivate a person do not demotivate him/her.
