Richards (1985) also points out that language teaching has a complex issue, such as
encompassing socio-cultural linguistics, psycholinguistics, as well as curricula and instructional
dimensions. The complexity of foreign language will create some obstacles for the students
when learning the language. Due to this, the teachers must really focus and help their students
learn English well.
English teaching process is not just about delivering material to the students using
presentations or giving assignments. Regarding English teaching as a second language or
foreign language, it is an activity where the learners intend to get learning facilities from the
teacher. Teachers have a role which provides supporting facilities for student learning
activities. In English teaching process, teachers are required to provide language explanations
and opportunities for teaching and learning process (Cameron, 2001).
Based on the explanation above we can conclude that the English teaching process is an
activity where the teachers guide the learners to understand English systematically by providing
them with language explanations and opportunities. The teachers need to prepare the class well
so that the teaching process can be done successfully and the students can understand the
language.
