Teens lead very stressful lives

Lukacs Andrei

It’s very common for young people to feel stressed out from time to
time. Stress is a normal part of life and can even be beneficial in some
situations. Stress is a normal part of life for teenagers and can be
caused by many different things. The more we learn about teens and
stress, the better able we will be as parents to model the behaviours
that can help our children learn to cope better with stress. Learning
about why we get stressed and how to manage it more effectively is a
great skill for life.
A very important factor of stress is school. School can cause a lot of
stress. Grades can act upon stress. Students may think that you always
need good grades, parents can cause this or even just their own minds.
Bullying is also a problem in our schools today and has been for a very
long time, but staying on topic this reason is the biggest in my opinion
leading to stress in school.
Another group of factors that can cause stress among teens is
relationships. This group includes personal relationships of a
teenager with their parents and friends. Conflicts with parents or
friends, and the fact that you don't feel understood or appreciated
lead to stress.

It’s important for parents and teens to recognize that stress is a normal
part of life. We can’t eliminate all stressful events, relationships, or
responsibilities but there are things we can do to decrease the negative
impact stress has on our mental and physical health.
