Visa requirements (More than 90 days)

Please bring the following documents in English or German with the following order:

1- 2 fully completed application form with the legal instruction (German) the forms must be filled out online
at videx-National.diplo.de and then printed

2- 5 recent biometric photos (not older than 6 months): please refer to the homepage of the German
Embassy in this regard

3- 2 Handwritten and signed declarations of travel
4- Original and 3 copies of the health insurance (if not included within the scholarship)
5- Original and 3 copies of the invitation letter/admission letter of university (not older than 3 months)
6- Original and 3 copies of the award letter
7- Original of the applicants’ own chronological bank statement of the last 6 months (not older than 3
months) + 2 copies (the name must be written in English and match the same name as in the passport)
8- 2 copies of your last certificates received, legalized by the German Embassy

a. when applying as Bachelor Student: Secondary School Certificate

b. when applying as Master Student: Secondary School + Bachelor Certificate
c. when applying as PhD or other: Bachelor + Master Certificate (+ PhD Certificate)

9- 2 copies of the motivation letter

10- 2 copies of your cv

11- if available: original of the endorsement letter from the employer (for employees) or original statement
letter from the university (for students) (signed and stamped, and not older than 3 months, and must
include the applicants’ salary) + 1 copy

12- signed passport passport page no. 3 for the Egyptian passports with 2 copies of all its filled pages
(visas, stamps and any other information) + old passport and 2 copies of all its filled pages. The
passport should not be older than 10 years and should be valid for at least 3 months after the intended
date of departure from the Schengen- area and for private passport(s) please bring a letter from the
ministry of foreign affairs in English or German
