PROGRAMME: Fire Safety Education in School Setting

UNIT: 4 Fire Safety

SUGGESTED TIME: 2Hours

TRAINING AIDS NEEDED: Laptop, Projector, Speakers and Fire Extinguisher

OBJECTIVE(S): Upon completion of this unit you will be able to do the following:

 Understand what is Fire, Elements of Fire and Classes of Fire


 Identify Common Sources of Fire
 Familiarize different type of Fire Safety Protective Equipment and Device
 Determine fire prevention and safety tips
 Familiarize what to do in case of fire

UNIT OVERVIEW
Purpose: To give the participants the knowledge and awareness on fire safety and drill in
response to fire emergencies.

General Guidance: Concentrate on the fire prevention and safe evacuation exercise. They are
most important for the participants to develop a muscle memory response.

Cautions: Keep participants interested and make sure they take the fire drill exercise
seriously.
