CREDITS-: SAMRIDH GUPTA ( t.me/MATHEMATICALOLYMPIADS )

INSTRUCTIONS-: QUES 1 CARRIES 2 MARKS

QUES 2 TO 3 CARRIES 3 MARKS EACH

QUES 4 CARRIES 5 MARKS

1. Triangle ABC is an isosceles with AC = BC and angle ACB = 106. Point M is in the interior of
the triangle so that angle MAC = 7 and angle MCA = 23 Find the number of degrees in angle
CMB.

2. In a 4 by 4 rectangular array of points, each of which is 1 unit away from its nearest
neighbours. Define a growing path to be a sequence of distinct points of the array with the
property that the distance between consecutive points of the sequence is strictly increasing.
Let m be the maximum possible number of points in a growing path, and let r be the number
of growing paths consisting of exactly m points. Find mr/10.

3. Find the sum of all positive integers n such that x^3+y^3+z^3=n(x^2 y^2 z^2) is satisfied by at
least one ordered triplet of positive integers (x,y,z)

4. In triangle ABC, point D is on BC with CD = 2 and DB = 5, point E is on AC with CE = 1 and EA =

3, AB = 8, and AD and BE intersect at P. Points Q and R lie on AB so that PQ is parallel to CA
and PR is parallel to CB. It is given that the ratio of the area of triangle PQR to the area of
triangle ABC is m/n, where m and n are relatively prime positive integers. Find m + n - 872
