My passion in life

This topic shows how I became passionate about becoming a nurse.

My insight on pursuing nursing

Nursing is a career that I would have never seen for myself; it never crossed my mind.

Until I realized that maybe this is for me. Who would have thought that I would end up in this course?

Ever since I was young, I had a lot of dreams that I didn't know what to pursue; my mind stayed on
becoming a businesswoman or taking Industrial Engineering.

College enrollment came, my plan didn't go through, and I found myself falling in line in the nursing
department. Then it hit me: My mama and lola are not getting any younger, and I need to learn how to
take care of them so that I can be with them longer.

Nursing is a calling.

Indeed, nursing is a calling, and I believe this is mine. Despite my little reasons, I've learned to love this
course.

I never imagined how that spur-of-the-moment decision would change my life. Once I started classes, I
fell in love with every aspect of nursing.

Here I am now being passionate and striving hard on what I am doing right now.

I've learned a lot in this course. It is indeed a roller coaster experience, for which I would love to shout to
the world how thankful I am.

Striking hard and facing challenges are two of the stepping stones to success.

Being in this course is a commitment to caring not just for oneself but also for everyone else. You need
to become passionate about building your determination and working hard.

You will go through a lot of stress and breakdowns, but it is normal and part of everyone's college
student lives.

You can complain about being tired and wanting to give up, but always choose to rest and then fight
again. Use this as your motivation.

I reached a point where i want to give up , I'm tired and not happy anymore.

I questioned myself, is this really for me? Is this what God wanted me to do?

But when we started going on duty, facing different people, different problems in health. I was like
pouring cold water on me and I suddenly came to my senses.

People need me, youve been through a lot, why are you giving up now.
How do I become passionate about this course?

I love exploring and experiencing thrills.

I am the type of person who gets bored easily, so I love to explore and learn new things, but that is not
my hobby.

Nursing is never-ending learning, and I love how I get thrilled and learn at the same time.

I sometimes feel pressured and tired, but I always keep in mind that I won't stop and give up on this
course.

I always need a new goal to achieve or a new lesson to learn. So I don’t regret taking and loving this
course because I am learning new things every day, and it helps relieve stress in my life.

I was attracted and admired people, doctors, and nurses wearing their uniforms. Who looked clean in
those white uniforms and scrub suits?

I admired their determination towards their job and also the idea of when people come and thank them
for their job.

Others before yourself

When you become passionate, you choose to go out of your way, and in many instances, you put others
before yourself.

You choose to help, and you let everyone know and feel that they are not alone.

I used to or always put others before myself as long as I could. As long as I can see them happy, it makes
me happy too.

I never knew that this side of me would be my trait to become a nurse.

It makes my heart melt knowing that I have helped someone or that I can help others.

I have a heart for service and a strong desire to make a difference in people’s lives
I always wanted to be able to help people during their lowest points in life and provide them with the
support they needed.

Stepping into someone's life at the low moments and making a difference to their experience is an
incredible privilege.

I want to make an impact on my patients someday, to be their strength at some point, and to leave
smiles when they get discharged.

One of the most rewarding aspects of a career in nursing is the ability to connect with our patients on
such an intimate level.

Being present as people face serious health challenges or injuries, witnessing the moment of birth or the
end of life, we get to know our patients very quickly and have the opportunity to play an important role
in their lives.

We are witnessed on someone's birth and death. And it is indeed heartwarming when someone says
'Thankyou nurse'.

I always imagine how rewarding it was to be able to make people who are sick and uncomfortable feel
better, even if it’s just a little. Treating people with kindness and respect goes a long way.

Knowing that my care, touch, voice, and time can help a patient make it through the night is one of the
most rewarding feelings.

Learning new things

Learning new things is the best way to understand your patient.

This has also become my way of trying to understand them and help them take care of their lives.

I used to be easygoing in my studies; I went with the flow and didn't put pressure on myself. But then,
when I start learning about the different kinds of drugs, diseases, interventions, etc., The interests in my
heart grow.
III. CONCLUSION

Passion is not always about what you used to do, on what you are great at, it isn’t just a hobby. Its
something you learned to love and You can give your whole heart on what you are doing. That gives you
a heartwarming satisfaction in the end without expecting in return.

"In nursing, you just have to follow your passion and purpose and stay true to yourself. Always
remember to have empathy and to give the best care possible."
