Extensive Reading

Syllabus:

In this class, students will explore novels by three writers with different backgrounds. They
will learn to develop comprehensive and analytical written and spoken competencies. But
most importantly, students will learn to travel to other worlds and times and understand their
own culture and the cultures of other people. In other words, students will develop empathy,
the ability to know what it is like to be in someone else’s shoes. They will also be given the
opportunity to improve their creative and critical thinking skills.
