Amazon will Open its First in-person Store

LOS ANGELES- Amazon will open its first in-person store at Beverly Center on Monday at 1

p.m.

The store will include Amazon’s most popular items sold online. It will be organized so

you can find your products easily. Customers can access Amazon’s website to see the products

availability before entering the store.

The community is invited to the grand opening. They will be given the chance to enter a

raffle to win a specific item. 5 winners will be announced on Friday.

The items in the raffle include an iPhone, MacBook Pro, Apple TV, Xbox and

PlayStation. The winners can choose which item they want.

Amazon’s founder and executive chairman Jeff Bezos said, “Amazon is one of the top 3

online retailers in the U.S. It makes shopping easy for everyone. Opening an in-person store in

one of the most populated malls can be the start of a new success. If it is successful, I plan to

open as many in-person stores as I can in populated cities.” Cities like Chicago, Ill., Nashville,

Tenn. and Miami, Fla. can expect in-store Amazons in the future.

Since this is a new store, Amazon is hiring employees who are experienced in customer

service, analytics and statistics. There will be applications at the grand opening. They are also

available on Amazon’s website under the Jobs section.

Beverly Center is located at 8500 Beverly Blvd. The in-store Amazon is on the first floor.

There will be signs to lead people to the right location.
