ILLINOIS SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL INVITES BLOOMINGTON COMMUNITY TO

“THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE” PLAY

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois Shakespeare Festival previews “The Complete Works of

William Shakespeare” at Ewing Theater on June 3 at 8 p.m. Performances start the following day
and end June 12.

“The Complete Works of William Shakespeare” is part of the festival’s 45th anniversary season.
It was London’s longest-running comedy having clocked an intense nine years in London’s West
End.

This play involves a group of tumultuous thespians as they weave their way through all of
Shakespeare’s comedies, histories and tragedies on a wild ride that will leave the crowd
breathless and helpless with laughter.

Concessions and merchandise are also offered, along with the play’s entertainment. People can
picnic on the lawn, but no outside food is allowed. Water is the only beverage allowed in the
theater.

Donations to the Illinois Shakespeare Society Fund are encouraged. They help provide financial
assistance for operating expenses associated with the festival.

The Illinois Shakespeare Festival reaches over 10,000 patrons each season and continues to
grow. Each person’s support is greatly appreciated by the college students who participate in the
play.

Season and individual tickets are now on sale. Season tickets may only be purchased in-person at
the Box Office or by phone at 309-438-2535. Individual tickets are available online through the
Paciolan ticketing system.
